Whether your job requires you to stand or sit for long periods of time, you’ve most likely suffered from some kind of neck or back pain. Eight out of 10 American adults have back pain at some point in their lives.

Protecting You Back modules provide information to help you on maintaining a healthy back and prevention of injuries and risk to your back. You will learn why proper back care and safe lifting and sitting habits can be a factor in if you have back pain.

You will learn how your back works and things you can improve and protect your back. You will get a basic understanding of how the bones and muscles of the back work together and where the most common types of back pain stem from.

The three main topics include: improved body mechanics, proper lifting techniques and stretching & exercise.

It will also cover some information about preventing future back pain and relieving existing back pain.
